Traditional Art
Like almost any artist or person in a creative field (At least I assume so), a lot of what I do now started with drawing. I've been drawing my whole life, but my drawing style and subject matters started to emerge in second grade when I started to make drawings in pencil instead of crayon.
Galastar's protagonist and titular character. He is more or less my brain child and has been drawing dozens of times, probably over a hundred. He's spent a lot of time being developed and going through various design changes, some large or smaller than others. Long story short, he looked nothing like this in the beginning.
Crows are my favorite animal. Not necessarily because they symbolize death, but because they're incredibly smart animals. I did use this as a metaphor for death however along with it holding a black rose (although when drawing in graphite, all roses are either black or white or grey).
The Bee is my college's mascot (I go to the Savannah College of Art and Design if I never clarified that). That slightly but not fully inspired this drawing (notably since it's a wasp and not a bee). I also added the stereotypical mom heart tattoo you see in tough guy caricatures for comedic effect.
Drew this during a School Newspaper field trip. Based it off of GLaDOS from Portal as you can tell by the rather cheesy line it's giving.
We had to get an assortment of objects that described us and draw them in a box for my Drawing II class. You can learn a bit from me if you look for long enough.
Also for my drawing II class. We had to get a physical object we owned and draw it but with more exaggerated qualities. I own a (really cool) articulated Samus Aran figure from the Metroid games. If you've seen her in her suit, then you know what I exaggerated. If not, you can still kinda tell.
"Cool guys don't look at explosions"
If you couldn't tell from my previous drawings, Samus is a bit of a favorite video game character of mine.
Like my Hanging Hang Robot, this was based off of GLaDOS. It's more or less a depiction of Siri if she were more robot-like and not an assistant on your iPhone.
